Normally we send out our weekend notices on Friday, but this weekend is so packed we wanted to give you time to prepare mentally and physically for the onslaught of Foster-Goodness that is about to happen. If you know of other activities going on this weekend let us know and we’ll add ‘em, but honestly, we’re not sure if we can handle anymore Kick-Ass.
9am-12pm (Starts at 1900 SE Milport RD – Ends at CARTLANDIA)
Bikes on bike paths are FUN. No doubt about it. Join a group bike ride Saturday, September 15 from 9-12pm – rain or shine (probably shine). The bike ride will follow the creek upstream like a salmon, ending at Cartlandia (8145-8315 SE 82nd Ave). WARNING: there will be prizes. The ride will be 8-10 miles long, which is good if you want to burn off all of the Cartlandia food and Eagle Eye beers. Please RSVP with Amy at firstname.lastname@example.org if you can plan that far ahead, otherwise, SHOW UP!
11-4pm at Cartlandia (8145 SE 82nd – The Intersection of 82nd & the Springwater Corridor)
This fundraiser for the Green Lents Community Tool Library (check out our feature), will have goods and crafts for sale. Grab food and drink from the food carts and pick up some awesome items. Garage sale goods! Local reuse artists! Auction! Donate your tools to support the Tool Library! Here’s the Facebook Event, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Events all day (see schedule) on Foster Road
Words cannot describe. That’s why there is video.
Around 8pm, The Eagle Eye Tavern, 5836 SE 92nd Ave
Foster United presents the Foster Art Night AFTERPARTY, at the new, beautiful Eagle Eye Tavern. We are so stoked to have a fantastic home away from home in the heart of Lents Town Center. Join us at after 8pm to cap off this months Foster Art Night.
But wait! There’s more. Assuming you don’t spend the whole day recovering from Satuday, you’ll want to hit up:
ALL MORNING – SUNDAY Brunch at Oliver’s Cafe
Sunday Morning! 8931 SE Foster Rd
Oliver’s cafe has been the Lents Go-To for american diner-style breakfast for a while now, but we’ve been out of luck on Sundays. Until Now. Now open on Sundays for the favorite Portland meal of the week, Oliver’s is bound to be happy with their decision.
11 AM – International Farmer’s Market
11-4pm, 92nd & Foster
Keep a little bit of summer alive by visiting the Farmer’s Market after your brunch at Oliver’s Cafe (after all, it’s not good to shop on an empty stomach). If you need a little hair-of-the-dog, try out the drinks on tap at the beer garden.
