Looks like a busy week on Foster Road. Here’s the latest on community projects, group meetings and other special events which caught the eyes of the FU crew.
Last night the Mt. Scott-Arleta Neighborhood Association hosted a discussion on starting a neighborhood foot patrol as a way to address safety issues in the neighborhood. They’ve got an awesome blog, and I’m sure we’ll hear more about how it went soon. Is this something you want to start on your area of Foster?

Lents activists are starting a “Little Free Libraries” project. They are looking for families, individuals or businesses to sponsor the small book repositories. The first meeting is tonight, all interested and inspired people should attend.

Neighborhood Coalition Group the Foster Green EcoDistrict is organizing a community-based plan to refresh Laurelwood Park. This vision will be the stepping stone to ask for funding for implementation, and it is important to have broad community support and input. Do you have new ideas for Laurelwood Park?

8 pm – Eagle Eye Tavern (5836 SE 92nd Ave)
A fun, new twist on karaoke to raise money for Green Lents programs like the Community Tool Library and Watershed Health Project.
