Last night, the Foster-Powell Neighborhood Association elected longtime member Li Alligood as the new association chair.
Li has previously served as Co-Chair –which is essentially Vice Chair –and Land Use Chair of the NA.
Meeting at Bar Carlo, most of the other Board members were reelected to their previous positions. Left vacant, and thus still available to any interested members, were the Co-Chair and Southeast Uplift Representative positions. Contact the NA if you’d like more information.
Li told us that she thinks that the neighborhood association is basically on the right track, and she intends to continue with the same priority projects as the previous Chair: safety improvements to Foster Road and improved awareness and involvement by people in the neighborhood.
He says that he’s not going anywhere and will continue to be active, though he is looking forward to a little more well-deserved free time. He’ll continue to serve as Fopo’s Rep on the Foster Streetscape Committee.
