The usual DIY presentation series is focused on graffiti clean-up- a subject that all Foster neighborhoods can be united in. Join us in a workshop how to be an active participant in keeping our neighborhoods clean! You will take home a clean-up crew bucket to get started!

Foundersday2Lents Founders Day

4:00pm – 6:30 pm – Lents Park (92nd & Holgate)

The annual Lents neighborhood celebration is back!  The community festival is a free, family event that celebrates the
diversity of our neighbors in Lents with food, activities and cultural performances. Children and parents are encouraged to decorate wagons, trikes and themselves for a kids parade through the park, which kicks off at 4:30 p.m.

Music and food will go from 4 to 6 p.m., and Portland Parks Movie in the Park’ showing of “101 Dalmatians” (1996) will follow at dusk

Foster Review, and Looking Ahead

If Foster United were to mirror the energy and community effort in the Foster area, we’ll have accomplished our goal.  In our first week, that mirror might have reflected both ways.  While we had a lot of news and events to report, we also received a lot of good press and attention in return, making the efforts of Foster area residents that much more visible and recognized.  To you, fine folks of Foster, I say, “Kudos, keep up the good work.” (more…)
